Position: OCAD University: Sessional Instructor Role
OCAD University is inviting applications for a Sessional Instructor in ED:
Personal Space for Fall 2026-27. This dynamic position requires teaching spatial design and fostering student creativity in a supportive environment.

You will be responsible for developing course content, guiding students through their design work, and facilitating a collaborative studio atmosphere. The position involves both teaching and administrative duties, ensuring that students learn the principles of design at a smaller scale.

Your role will include providing feedback, maintaining classroom standards, and aiding research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an engaging course outline

• Facilitate lectures and interactive studio experiences

• Evaluate student work and provide timely feedback

• Support an inclusive and creative learning environment

• Help students navigate research ethics in design projects

Requirements:

• Active portfolio in design or related academic area

• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level

• Strong leadership in fostering inclusivity

• Familiarity with iterative design methods

• Eligible to work legally in Canada
