High School English Tutor

As an in-home High School English Tutor, you'll support students in grasping the Ontario secondary English curriculum. The ideal candidate brings experience and enthusiasm for teaching while being committed to helping students build confidence and essential literacy skills. You'll engage with students, create customized lesson plans, and communicate regularly with parents to track student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Empower students with personalized academic support

• Strengthen reading comprehension and writing skills

• Develop tailored lesson plans for varied learning needs

• Prepare students for assessments and OSSLT

• Maintain regular communication with parents on progress

Requirements:

• Experience teaching high school English (Grades 9–12)

• Familiarity with the Ontario English curriculum

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Teachers preferred

• Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
