As a Professor, you will engage students in the Firefighter, Pre-Service Education & Training program at the Newnham campus. Your expertise will enhance student outcomes through lab-based learning, mentoring, and designing impactful curricula. You will work closely with program leaders to align academic offerings with industry needs and foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging courses with active learning methods
• Create and update curricula based on current research
• Support student success through personalized feedback
• Collaborate on academic planning and program enhancement
• Engage in applied research and industry partnerships
Requirements:
• Over 10 years of firefighting experience necessary
• At least 5 years of teaching at the post-secondary level
• Master’s Degree in Fire Protection or similar
• Required industry certifications from IFSAC or Pro Board
• Strong presentation and teamwork capabilities
Elevate the firefighting profession by teaching at Seneca and empowering students.
