Position: Instructor for Youth Martial Arts Therapy
Become part of the Child Development Institute's team as a Mindfulness Martial Arts Instructor! Deliver impactful Therapeutic Martial Arts programs designed to improve mental health for children aged 9 to 18.

We seek two experienced instructors to lead our Therapeutic Recreation Programs, focusing on martial arts and psychoeducation. You will employ Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, combining physical activity with mindfulness practices. The role entails group facilitation and proactive risk assessment to support each child's unique development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead martial arts sessions and physical training

• Plan program activities in collaboration with colleagues

• Facilitate inclusive sessions tailored for varying needs

• Monitor and manage emotional and physical risks actively

• Document client progress and incident reports thoroughly

Requirements:

• Certified in relevant martial arts disciplines

• Experience working with youth in therapeutic settings

• Strong organization and communication abilities

• Minimum availability of 3 hours per week, primarily evenings

• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check completion required
