We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a part time Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher position (0.75 FTE).
Responsibilities:- Teaching Language Arts and Social Studies as the primary focus across middle school grades, with opportunities to support additional subject areas as needed
- Communicating effectively with students, orally and in writing with parents, and working collaboratively with other teachers
- Using data and assessments to improve instruction and student learning
- Preparing, administering, and evaluating assessments and report cards
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development days, and educational conferences
- Ensuring the classroom environment is safe, healthy, and supportive for all students
- Contributing actively to the broader RHA school community
- Classroom experience in Middle School (Grade 6-8)
- Proven success in classroom management
- Good organizational skills and ability to work as a team player
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in a Jewish day school setting is an asset
- Competence with Google Workspace and student information systems
- OCT certification required
Part-time, 0.75 FTE (75%)
Ability to Commute:- York ON M5P 3K3
- Located on the TTC bus route #7 and within walking distance to both St. Clair and Eglinton Subway lines
- OCT certification required
