Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

Aboutthe Work Integrated Learning Officer Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Work Integrated Learning (WIL), the Work Integrated Learning Officer is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining work-integrated learning opportunities for students within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, with a primary focus on the School of Nursing.
The WIL Officer serves as a key liaison between students, faculty, program coordinators, healthcare organizations, community partners, and employers to ensure high-quality experiential learning opportunities that meet curricular requirements and support student success. The incumbent develops and sustains strategic partnerships, facilitates placement processes, monitors student experiences, and contributes to the ongoing enhancement of internship and placement programs.
Key Responsibilities Work-Integrated Learning and Partnership Development- Recruit, develop, and secure internship and placement opportunities for assigned programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare and community organizations, industry partners, and employers.
- Conduct outreach activities to identify and develop new placement opportunities.
- Coordinate and monitor affiliation agreements in collaboration with Humber's Legal and Risk Management teams.
- Conduct site visits and partner consultations to evaluate placement quality and student learning opportunities.
- Assess and approve placements using institutional systems and established program criteria.
- Collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to ensure placements align with curriculum outcomes.
