The University of Toronto Scarborough invites applications for a Sessional Instructional Assistant for LINC
12H3, focusing on semantics, from September 8, 2026, to January 8, 2027. Applicants should possess a PhD or ABD in Linguistics, specifically in semantics or related fields. Previous teaching experience and research in semantics will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in grading assignments and tests
• Support students with course material and inquiries
• Collaborate with the instructor on course-related tasks
• Attend and participate in relevant course meetings
• Ensure compliance with academic standards and policies
Requirements:
• PhD or ABD in Linguistics preferred
• Graduate-level training in semantics
• Experience in teaching or instructional assistance
• Knowledge of semantic theories and approaches
• Availability for in-person grading and invigilating
