Hours: 37.5 hr/week

Wages: $84,006 - $126,005 per annum

Position Summary The Manager, International Education Programs is the operational lead for day-to-day delivery of TAAAC’s international education programs, responsible for the seamless coordination, logistics, compliance, and participant experience across a portfolio of 25+ programs and 90+ UT faculty participants traveling annually to Ethiopia, ~20 learners exchanged arriving from Ethiopia for educational experiences in Toronto. Reporting to the Director, the Manager translates strategic priorities into executable program plans, maintains the systems and relationships that keep programs running effectively.

Ensures that every UofT faculty participant deploying to Addis Ababa has the support, documentation, orientation, and on-the-ground resources required for a safe and productive teaching experience and that every TAAAC learner from Ethiopia engaged in an educational opportunity in Toronto has the support, documentation, onboarding, and on the ground resources including housing and financial supports required for a safe and productive learning experience.

The Manager also supports new program development and the preparation of governance reports, grant reports, proposals, and compliance documentation, working in close collaboration with the Director and serving as the primary day-to-day contact for TAAAC personal, faculty and learners in both Toronto and Addis Ababa.

Duties
  • Develop and manage detailed operational plans, timelines, and project schedules for all assigned TAAAC programs in close coordination with Program Point People in Toronto and Addis Ababa, Addis administrative coordinators, and the Director.
  • Manage program budgets and financial reporting, working closely with the TAAAC business officer to ensure that all financial accountabilities are met.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for UofT Program Point People (~20), organizing and facilitating regular communication forums to deliver education, administration updates, curriculum guidance, cultural orientation, and operational information impacting over 100 annual program participants.
  • Coordinate all logistical elements for UofT faculty participants traveling to Addis Ababa, including health and safety protocols, business visas, travel arrangements, accommodations, cultural orientation materials, supplies
