Dean of Engineering and Skilled Trades

Join George Brown Polytechnic as an Associate Dean of Engineering Technologies and Skilled Trades. This full-time position focuses on strategic academic leadership and management to enhance student success and faculty development.

In this role, you will report directly to the Dean and oversee program delivery for 11 full-time programs and 9 apprenticeships. Your responsibilities will include managing a diverse team, ensuring program quality, and engaging in curriculum development. Additionally, you will lead initiatives aimed at fostering a supportive environment and maintaining high educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive implementation of strategic plans for the Schools

• Supervise and mentor faculty, managers, and staff

• Manage conflicts among students and staff effectively

• Lead quality assurance and enhancement of academic offerings

• Develop and oversee budgets for educational programs

Requirements:

• Master's Degree from a recognized institution

• Nine years of experience in education and skilled trades

• Relevant experience in teaching and program management

• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills

• Digital proficiency and commitment to inclusive education
