As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math, and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. All lessons are pre‑planned, allowing you to focus on teaching.
Position Requirements- Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
- Commitment through to the end of the 2026‑27 school year (June 30), with possibility of continuing through summer
- In‑person role; must be able to commute to the location; relocation packages not available
- Vulnerable sector screening mandatory
- Resume must indicate residence within a short commute of North York area
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
- Third‑year university students with tutoring experience considered
- Teaching certification in progress or obtained is an asset
- Good knowledge of K‑12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring K‑12 or equivalent level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills; ability to guide student understanding
- French teaching desired
- Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time
- Teach up to three students at a time in Elementary grades or up to two students in Grades 9‑12
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, create fun learning environment
- Evenings, Monday‑Friday
- Saturday availability
