U of T Sessional Lecturer in Architecture

Shape future architects at the University of Toronto as a Sessional Lecturer within the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design. Oversee a design studio and inspire students.

This role is for the January to April 2027 session and involves direct collaboration with faculty members to deliver course content effectively. Successful candidates will hold a professional degree in architecture and have prior teaching experience. Responsibilities encompass preparing assignments, delivering feedback, and managing student interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare engaging course materials for the design studio

• Evaluate assignments and provide student feedback

• Supervise daily work of teaching assistants, where applicable

• Facilitate student examinations and evaluations

• Address student questions and manage grading

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

• Relevant professional experience in design

• Experience in teaching architecture courses

• Collaborative teaching approach

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating excellence
