U of T Sessional Lecturer in Landscape Design

Shape future landscape architects as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto. This role focuses on delivering impactful design studio classes at the St. George Campus.

The University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty is searching for a qualified Sessional Lecturer to lead design studios examining landscape and urban systems. Successful candidates will have a professional degree in landscape architecture and teach with a focus on design excellence. You will motivate students and facilitate their understanding through practical studio work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive design studio instruction

• Guide students through landscape design assignments

• Assess and grade student submissions effectively

• Provide ongoing feedback to enhance student learning

• Supervise and mentor Teaching Assistants involved in the course

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or related fields

• Demonstrated teaching experience in landscape architecture

• Portfolio highlighting design skills and awards

• Relevant professional background in landscape practice

• Ability to maintain student engagement outside of class
