Teach Caribbean Visual Arts, Social Media, and Performance at the University of Toronto. We are looking for a passionate sessional lecturer for an in-person course running from January to April 2027.
This role in the Centre for Caribbean Studies involves delivering engaging lectures and developing a detailed syllabus for CAR
321H1. You will explore themes such as visual arts, social media, and theater in the Caribbean context. Candidates must hold a Master’s or PhD in Literature or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine a comprehensive course syllabus
• Plan and deliver engaging in-person lectures
• Design and invigilate assessments and exams
• Hold office hours and meet student needs
• Manage course content on Quercus, CIS, and Emarks
Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in Literature or related field
• Experience in higher education teaching
• Knowledge of Caribbean arts and culture
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage course administrative tasks
