Postdoctoral Research Associate
The theoretical high energy physics group at the University of Toronto aims to fill one or more 3-year postdoctoral research positions starting in the Fall of 2027. Highly qualified candidates with broad interests in the areas of particle physics phenomenology, cosmology, and astroparticle physics are invited to apply. Current faculty working in this research area are David Curtin, Yonatan Kahn and Michael Luke.
Collaboration with CITA, the local ATLAS or SuperCDMS groups, the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, the formal theory faculty (A.W. Peet and Erich Poppitz), and neighbouring institutions including York University and Perimeter Institute will be highly encouraged.
Applicants with interests in astroparticle physics may be considered for a McDonald Institute Theory Fellowship. Top-ranked applications will be sent to the MI Theory Evaluation committee, who will allocate fellowships. First round offers will be made in January.
The University of Toronto is strongly committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from Indigenous Persons, Racialized Persons, Women, Persons with Disabilities invisible or apparent, Members of the 2
SLGBTQ+ community and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas. The Department of Physics adopted the following statement on inclusivity, which the high energy theory group strongly supports and strives to implement in its practice:
