Energy Specialist at Infrastructure Ontario

Become an Energy Specialist with Infrastructure Ontario to drive sustainability initiatives and enhance energy management performance. Utilize your expertise in energy modeling, GHG accounting, and LEED to support provincial goals.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Management Operations, this experienced role requires a post-secondary degree in a related field and a minimum of five years' knowledge of Sustainability and Energy Management. You will influence cross-functional teams and advise on energy efficiency requirements for various building types, ensuring alignment with environmental standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review energy modelling reports submitted by consultants

• Validate performance of P3 energy contracts

• Advise on energy designs for new constructions

• Oversee GHG accounting and reporting processes

• Champion sustainability datasets including energy consumption

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in environmental studies, science, or engineering

• Minimum 5 years of energy management experience

• Knowledge of building systems and energy codes

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to influence strategic decisions across teams
