About the Role

In this role, you’ll play an integral part of the service team, primarily responsible for commissioning and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on Sol Bank Storage Power Block (SPB). You will also fulfill obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. A willingness to travel and perform tasks at various project sites throughout Ontario is required.

Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a service environment is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Commission CSI Energy Storage’s Sol Bank Storage Power Block
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of SPBs to adhere to warranty requirements
  • Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands‑on support to maintain equipment and meet availability and capacity guarantees
  • Oversee and supervise sub‑contractors on site when required
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and processes
  • Perform proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and switching procedures as needed
  • Analyze performance data to determine root cause and performance trends
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy
  • Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and photovoltaic or Energy Storage system applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality
  • Previous experience with a CMMS software program is preferred
  • Ability to travel to regional locations as needed (over 50% of the time)
