The hourly rate for this position is $20.78-$25.67 per hour. Please note, the salary information provided is intended to be used as a guideline. Final rate offered will vary upon candidate’s prior co-op/work experience, years of study completed, relevant skills, as well as internal equity considerations.How You Will Make an Impact
This opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to:
Assist in PCB layout and schematic capture.Perform lab and field tests using predominantly standard techniques; provide support in laboratory or field environments by conducting experiments, conducting tests or servicing equipment; quality control.Assist with and sometimes design, assemble and maintain equipment, processes, systems and development of test methods.Participate in the analysis of test results and data by use of standard software packages.Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems.Perform clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.Perform routine processes and duties such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, housekeeping, etc.What You Need to Succeed
Currently enrolled full-time in a 2nd or 3rd year Electronics Engineering Technology program, requiring a co-op placement.Familiar with using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.Knowledge of soldering, wiring, PCB assembly, and basic mechanical assembly through academic labs and projects.Familiar with analog electronics, including power supplies, PLC/PID controllers, signal conditioners, and logic control circuits.Basic knowledge of PCB design software such as Altium Designer and OrCAD
