Contribute to energy reform as an Advisor in the Ontario Energy Board's Consumer Policy Department. Your analytical skills will support policies benefiting energy consumers.
The Ontario Energy Board is hiring a Consumer Policy Advisor to lead the charge in enhancing consumer education and protections within the energy sector. This union permanent role focuses on assessing customer feedback, researching policy developments, and collaborating with other departments to ensure consumer-related obligations are met. You will provide essential support for initiatives like the OESP and LEAP affordability programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review customer complaints and industry inquiries thoroughly
• Provide expert support in consumer protection investigations
• Conduct data analysis for operational policy recommendations
• Prepare reports and presentations for review
• Lead stakeholder discussions on policy impacts
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in policy development
• Preferred 5 years in public utility settings
• Exceptional communication skills are essential
• Knowledge of regulatory legislation is advantageous
