Shape the future of energy in Ontario as an Advisor for Indigenous Engagement at IESO, based in vibrant Toronto. Engage with First Nations and Métis communities to promote collaboration and sustainable energy initiatives.
In this unionized position, you will work to enhance Indigenous relationships while driving energy conservation and planning efforts.
Your role will integrate community insights to ensure IESO's programs align with Indigenous needs and knowledge. Travel is required to build effective partnerships across the province.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote sustainable relationships with Indigenous communities
• Guide IESO on Indigenous engagement and consultation
• Develop programs for renewable energy development
• Conduct research to support community initiatives
• Represent IESO in forums and public engagements
Requirements:
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in energy
• Strong understanding of Indigenous culture and history
• Proven ability to build trust with Indigenous groups
• Competence in policy development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
