Take on the role of Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Baycrest Hospital’s Complex Continuing Care Unit. Focusing on evening shifts, this permanent part-time position emphasizes client-focused geriatric care.
As an RPN in the Complex Continuing Care Unit, you will provide essential medical support to older patients with complex health conditions. This position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care strategies aimed at improving patient quality of life. Your previous experience with geriatric and psychogeriatric patients will be instrumental in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing interventions including medication management
• Offer client-centered care backed by interdisciplinary support
• Collaborate with nursing team on care plan revisions
Requirements:
• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS Level C certificate is mandatory
• Experience with mentally complex geriatric patients preferred
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer literacy in relevant systems preferred
