Purpose of the Role
The Systems Testing & Commissioning Engineer is in charge of the integration and validation activities and means of controls/commands of the project.
Validate the test plans of the participating Units
Verifies that test procedures will achieve the contractual performances for System activities and for the participating units
Produces specific test plans for a part of Systems activities as required
Plan and coordinate the site and depot tests of the participating Units
Execute system tests and attend subsystems tests
Collect, compile and review System Testing reports
Coordinate the necessary means for the realisation of the systems tests, being understood that each participating Unit provides the staff and test tools for their own equipment.
Review sub-system test plans from a system-level perspective
Organises the “readiness reviews” of the participating units, which are a mandatory preliminary to the systems tests; follow-up the corrective actions mandatory before the systems tests start.
Create and manage action plans corresponding to malfunctioning of the system, aiming to reach the contractual performances targets
Manages the system configuration during the successive tests phases
Maintain and develop his own level of expertise
Support with his team the Turnkey VTA Manager project
Implement the technical and safety processes, methods and tools corresponding to the activities
Facilitate and manage the work planning process to ensure timely and appropriate site access
Support I&V leader for requirement validation activities
Coordinate offshore subject matter experts and subcontractors for site activities
Performance measurements:
Validation of subsystem / system requirements (functionalities, performance and safety)
Project management satisfaction
Obtention of the Taking Over Certificates
Delivery on time
Educational Requirements
Advanced University Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical and mechanical or Electronic or Computing
Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years in testing in identical field
Knowledgeability of railway system
Electrical power distribution system
Signaling, Communication & SCADA system
Rolling Stock system
Computing
Global vision
Structured
Ability to understand the standards, requirements and their environment
Ability to propose innovative testing solutions
English professional level
Mobility Resilient
