- Engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions
- Manage and lead projects, including the development, review and approvals of technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender packages for major tailing dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities and mine infrastructure projects
- Provide mentorship to staff through the methodologies of TSF designs
- Build client rapport that develops projects from feasibility through to mine closure phases
- Expand your knowledge by attending conferences and trainings
- Contribute to industry knowledge and state of practice
- Be an ambassador for and potentially become an owner of KCB
- A degree in civil engineering or geological engineering, with a track record of continued development
- 10‑15 years of civil design experience with five years related to mine waste management projects
- Background in geotechnical design, with a focus on dams, embankments, and slopes
- Experience in slope stability and seepage analysis, dam design, earthworks, and construction
- Ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams
- Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements
- Eligibility to register as professional engineer in Canada
- Experience in seismic analysis of dams and related software packages
- Ability to find creative solutions and present them
- Willingness to mentor others and be mentored
- Ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and industry partners
- Ability to apply critical thinking and flexibility in problem solving
Salary range: $110,000 ‑ $160,000 annually. Actual salary offered is based on applicable education, skills, and experience.
