• Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $20.78-$25.67 per hour. Please note, the salary information provided is intended to be used as a guideline. Final rate offered will vary upon candidate’s prior co‑op/work experience, years of study completed, relevant skills, as well as internal equity considerations.

This opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to:

Assist technologists and electrical engineers in carrying out customer related projects

• Carry out technical work in the laboratory under supervision of senior technologists. Support with test sample preparations, test setup, and carrying out simpler tests.
• Assisting with Diagnostic testing, Thermal Cycling and Voltage Endurance test projects, complete data sheets and possibly write templated reports.
• Assist with templated/routine data reductions.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Perform all duties in safe manner in compliance with Kinectrics policies and procedures.

• Currently enrolled full‑time in a post‑secondary Electrical or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering program requiring a co‑op placement.
• Strong interpersonal skills in order to work co‑operatively with a variety of staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team situation.
• Must be able to perform moderate physical tasks, physically fit: ability to move/lift items up to 40-50 lbs.
• High level of initiative.
• Experience with hand tools is an asset.
• Basic computer skills are required (Microsoft Office, CAD programs, MATLAB and Python).
• Familiarity with data acquisition programs or systems is an asset.
