Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Laser Welding Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to support gas turbine manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing complex 3D laser welding processes while ensuring high-quality, repeatable results in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, simulate, and optimize 5-axis 3D laser welding programs using Siemens Sinumerik One controls.

  • Utilize the TRUMPF Teach Panel with 6D mouse technology to define tool paths and nozzle positioning across complex 3D geometries.

  • Configure and program Vision Line Detect camera systems to automatically identify workpiece features and apply real-time positional corrections.

  • Optimize welding parameters using Bright Line Weld Comfort technology to achieve high feed rates while minimizing spatter and maintaining component quality.

  • Manage Focus Line Professional settings, enabling programmable focus positions and aspect ratios tailored to material thickness.

  • Lead the prove-out of new part recipes, ensuring production readiness.

  • Monitor and document real-time laser power data through Active Laser Power Control to support consistent and reproducible weld outcomes.

Ideal Background
  • Strong experience in laser welding programming within a manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on expertise with Siemens Sinumerik controls and TRUMPF laser technologies preferred.

  • Experience supporting high-precision or turbine-related manufacturing is considered an asset.

  • Ability to troubleshoot processes, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement.
