Structural steel inspector

This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, ON, for a Structural Steel Inspector. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of structural steel with project specifications and applicable standards. Daily tasks include reviewing design drawings and specifications, performing site inspections, conducting weld and material testing, documenting inspection findings, and collaborating with project engineers and contractors to resolve any identified issues.

Minimum level 2 CWB inspector with s

• trong knowledge of structural steel codes, standards, and inspection requirements
• NDT certifications are an asset although not mandatory.
• Experience with weld inspection techniques and material testing
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to prepare thorough inspection reports
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
• Proven experience in structural steel inspection or a related field is highly beneficial
• Ability to work on-site at various locations within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area
