We are looking for a technical, empathetic and dynamic Product Lead to join the Product Engineering group at Forcen Inc reporting directly to the VP of Product Engineering.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading hardware development of Frontier Robotics, including Humanoids, Field, Deep-Sea, Nuclear, and Space Robotics. You will actively participate in customer proposals, managing product specifications, and creating compelling business cases. You will be responsible to lead projects and act as the subject-matter expert in Frontier applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development for robotic hardware products, from business-alignment, proposal, concept and detailed design, to launch under Force

    N’s NPI process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, mechanical, electrical engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure successful product development.
  • Creating compelling customer proposals, including conceptual design (CAD, specifications) project scope, technology alignment and concerns, costing and volume price modeling.
  • Actively engage in customer sales activities, understanding customer needs and translating them into product requirements.
  • Research competitive technologies, customer analysis to identify market trends and opportunities and help develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features based on business goals and market demand.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in mechanical, mechatronics, systems engineering or related field with proven experience in designing complete systems and/orsub-systems.
  • 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in product development and/or management, preferably in robotics, electronics or hardware development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including familiarity with verification and validation testing.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with customer sales and engagement, B2B preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to create and analyze business opportunities.
  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents preferred.
Experience
  • Strong technical fundamentals in mechanical and electrical engineering (materials, mechanics, electrical design and schematics)
  • Demonstrated experience in hardware product management, involved in the concept, detailed design and bringing an idea to production. Full product development in taking ideas from concept → prototype → execution → delivery.
  • Familiarity with robotics, sensors, instrumentation signal processing and/or sensing systems. Strong preference for someone with a background in logistics and/or logistics robotics (parcel fulfillment, palletizing)
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / 13485 strongly preferred..
  • Knowledge of software and firmware development and associated software (Python, C#, C++, Git
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies. (Arena PLM, GDrive, Jira, Scrum Methodology)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Consistent positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to create robust solutions to complex problems.
