This role will plan, assess & coordinate the implementation of telecommunication infrastructure to support internetworking needs of the organization
Role:
-Participate in the planning and prioritization of telecommunication (voice/data) needs of the organization, including new sites, departmental move, user growth & re-deployment, and decommissioning
-Review and analyze the telecommunication needs and identify alternative technical solution options to satisfy the business needs
-Participate in the review of performance of telecommunication outsource service providers.
-Work with 3rd party telecommunication vendors to evaluate technology solution options
-Present to the stakeholders on the technical design and derive a project/work plan with proper technology, costing, stakeholdering, and timeline for implementation
-Facilitate the procurement of equipment/services based on procurement policy
-Facilitate with both internal and external service providers to implement the telecommunication solution
-Track and monitor progress and issues in the execution of the project/work plan, with adherence to accepted standard of practices in change management, configuration management, commissioning requirement, and capacity management
-Participate in telecommunication problem investigation and resolution
Must Have
Skills:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT within the Telecommunications Industry
-Strong knowledge of Nortel and Cisco VoIP technology
-Strong knowledge of Mail & Computer Telephony Integration
-Demonstrated experience in Voice Networks and Public Branch Exchange technology
-Demonstrated Project Management coordination skills
Qualifications:
-The role requires a thorough knowledge of information technology and telecom systems and applications, with a minimum of 5 years in telecommunication
-Demonstrated experience in Voice Networks and Public Branch Exchange technology
-Detail knowledge of Nortel and Cisco VoIP technology
-Detailed knowledge of Voice Mail and Computer Telephony Integration
-Demonstrated project management and coordination skills
-Sound knowledge of telecommunications networks and systems, voice and data network principles, telecommunication network infrastructures and methods.
-Demonstrated experience in the liaison with and establishing relationships with clients and other business units, to ensure that objectives are met
-Demonstrated experience in the facilitation of multiple service providers in the delivery of telecommunication solution
-Demonstrated experience in analytical and problem solving skills in telecommunication domain
-Working knowledge of commercial telecom service offerings and tariffs
-Demonstrated experience in an outsourced and multiple vendor environment
-Ability to lead and work in a multi-team environment and drive completion of deliverables
-Ability to assess risk with proper recommendation on mitigation
-Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
