Project Coordinator, TTC Interface
Job Description
The Project Coordinator provides coordination and administrative support for activities related to OTG’s relationship with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) as part of the Ontario Line South Project. Reporting to the Deputy Station Manager / TTC Lead, the Project Coordinator will play an essential role in ensuring smooth communication, documentation control, and process alignment between OTG project teams and TTC stakeholders.
This role focuses on supporting interface activities between the Ontario Line South Project infrastructure and the existing TTC Line 1 Stations (Queen and Osgoode), ensuring timely coordination, tracking, and follow‑up of all TTC‑related submissions, reviews, and operational considerations.
From an operational standpoint, this position is primarily responsible for coordinating, organizing, and monitoring on‑site activities, working closely with and providing support to the Site Superintendent.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 CAD - $110,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Onsite Support
- Monitor day-to-day construction work on-site.
- Ensure that all work is carried out as per the approved drawings, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain construction standards.
- Ensure proper safety measures are followed by all site personnel.
TTC Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Support coordination of TTC interface activities, including organizing meetings and maintaining structured communication.
- Prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Coordinate TTC submissions, review packages, and documentation required for TTC approval processes.
- Assist with scheduling and logistics for TTC site visits, inspections, and joint review sessions.
Documentation, Reporting & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate project documentation: correspondence logs, review matrices, meeting records, and change‑related documents.
- Support preparation of status updates, progress summaries, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to Station leadership and project managers.
Project Tracking & Workflow Management
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and milestones associated with TTC-related work.
- Monitor and escalate risks or delays linked to TTC reviews, submissions, or operational constraints.
- Assist cross-functional teams by gathering and organizing information needed for TTC submissions.
Compliance, Safety & Technical Alignment
- Assist in ensuring all activities align with TTC safety standards, operational procedures, and technical requirements.
- Work with engineering, construction, quality, and HS&E teams to support compliance with TTC’s specifications and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
Masters Degree is preferred. - PMP or P.Eng. certification is an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil construction project management, including large infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience working for TTC or in TTC related projects, such as station upgrades, is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in complex construction scenarios.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management practices.
- Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management tools.
