About This Opportunity

Supports the preparation of test plans, procedures, and reports to validate specified requirements. Performs tests both in-plant and at project sites in accordance with established test plans and procedures. Supports project ITV/SWAT work and writes test automation scripts.

Key Accountabilities
  • Performs integration and test activities in-house as per the test plan
  • Prepares test reports that record pass/fail results and identify issues detected during testing
  • Investigates test anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation, and collaboration with development teams
  • Prepares problem reports in the defect-tracking system describing test failures and defects
  • Identifies test objectives and develops test cases
  • Follows company test processes and methods
  • Develops test scripts, executes tests, and monitors results
  • Develops reusable libraries for various projects
  • Adheres to and promotes best practices for test development
  • Collaborates with team members to support overall project success
  • Provides feedback on test automation frameworks for continuous improvement
Key Requirements
  • Currently working toward a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
  • Completion of the second or third year of undergraduate studies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Python and Perl
  • Knowledge of networking and communication systems
  • Knowledge of AI automation and documentation
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Enthusiastic about taking on new challenges
  • Strong performer who can contribute new ideas for automation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship, minimum 2 days per week in the office, depending on team needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Co-op student available for an 8-month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the internship
  • Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of company products (e.g., Sel Trac)
  • Knowledge of systems to be employed
  • Understanding of the roles and interactions of other departments as relating to Verification and Validation/Test
