• Administer the EHS Program.
• Promote the highest level of safety throughout the project.
• Provide direction and support for managers, supervisors, and sub‑contractors regarding their responsibilities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive safety culture.
• Ensure all workplace parties fulfill their responsibilities for the EHS program.
• Conduct safety orientation for workers, owners and clients; participate in pre‑planning stages of work.
• Assist in the management of worker’s compensation claims.
• Conduct workplace safety audits and inspections.
• Walk project site with workers, owners, and other stakeholders safety representatives to assess safety and address deficiencies.
• Conduct hazard assessments and control activities, providing coaching when necessary.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and produce timely investigation reports.

• 5 years’ experience in construction Health and Safety.
• Experience in preparing for COR or ISO 45001 audits.
• Health and safety certification such as National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Gold Seal Certificate (GSC), or related degree/diploma.
• Good working knowledge of OHSA, WSIB policies and safety legislation.
• Experience liaising with external parties such as government inspectors, sub‑contractors, and the public.
• Experience co‑chairing a Joint Health and Safety Committee.
• Experience presenting project and site‑specific orientations to small and large groups.
• Experience preparing and reviewing policies and procedures.
• Ability to procure and manage safety supplies.
• Experienced in investigating workplace incidents.
• Ensure subcontractors and employees comply with safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
• Desirable:
  Experience across all stages of a complex infrastructure project lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven priority setting, multitasking, and self‑directed work ability.
• Initiative, judgment, and proactive action.
• High degree of organizational skills.
• Ability to travel to sites and work mobile for projects.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• Ability to work off business hours, including weekends.

• Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (potential for higher based on experience).
