Position Summary
Plan, execute and finalize submetering projects for Metergy Solutions. This includes resource management, planning, design, approval, and procurement of materials. The Project Manager will define the project’s objectives, timeline and oversee quality control and regulatory requirements throughout the project life cycle.
Responsibilities- Participate in discovery sessions with external clients to evaluate their unique submetering needs.
- Review electrical and mechanical drawings to develop an understanding of the utility distribution and mechanical systems serving our clients properties.
- Transform your understanding of the distribution/systems into a technical submetering and/or reporting solution that addresses the client’s specific needs.
- Select and size the appropriate submetering hardware solutions based on the technical requirements you developed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure your solutions are aligned with, and can be supported by other business units.
- Effectively communicate your solutions to internal and external stakeholders to drive projects out of the design phase and into the execution phase.
- Implement your solutions through effective project management and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively manage your time and deliver results on multiple projects at the same time.
- Perform any other tasks to support various business needs.
- 0–3 years of experience managing engineering projects.
- Engineering Degree from a 4–5 year program at a recognized University.
- Excellent planning, organization and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems found within a high‑rise building is considered an asset.
- Experience with the submetering industry is considered an asset.
- Experience with energy management and/or energy consulting is considered an asset.
- A strong understanding of health and safety on construction sites and around electrical equipment.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
$60,000 – $75,000 per year. These ranges reflect base salary. We offer discretionary bonus and additional benefits, including health and retirement, as part of our total rewards program.
