The Chance

We are partnering with a well-established MEP consulting engineering firm to support the hire of a Mechanical Designer for their Burlington office. Join a tight-knit, collaborative team delivering a diverse range of building projects across the residential, institutional, and commercial sectors. This opportunity is ideal for a Mechanical Designer or EIT who enjoys a mix of design, coordination, and client interaction, and is looking to grow within a stable, hands-on consulting setting.

• Prepare mechanical system designs and drawings (HVAC, plumbing, and related systems) using AutoCAD.
• Participate in design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Support construction through site visits and field reviews.
• Assist with project documentation and drawing revisions across design and construction phases.
• Communicate directly with clients, consultants, and internal team members.
• Ensure designs align with project requirements, codes, and standards.

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design within consulting engineering (buildings/M.E.P.)
• EIT or Mechanical Designer level (non-P.Eng.)
• Robust proficiency in AutoCAD (core requirement)
• Working knowledge of Revit is considered an asset.
• Experience across building types such as residential, institutional, or commercial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients.
• Must have consulting engineering experience (no industrial/manufacturing background)
• Ability to work both independently and within a small team environment.

The expected compensation for this role is approximately $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
