Elevate transit infrastructure as a Senior Traction Power Engineer in Canada. Conduct essential power studies while ensuring compliance and collaboration across engineering disciplines.
In this permanent role, you will lead traction power studies, interpret data, and guide engineering compliance with national and international standards. Your responsibilities include developing bonding designs and addressing electrical risks. Collaborating with diverse teams will enhance integrated system designs for impactful transit solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform AC/DC traction power studies and analyses
• Guide technical decisions for engineering projects
• Prepare, review, and validate specifications and calculations
• Develop grounding designs per CSA and IEEE standards
• Engage in multidisciplinary reviews to mitigate risks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering;
Master’s preferred
• Eligible for P.Eng. licensure in Ontario
• Tackled traction power engineering in rail/transit
• Familiarity with AREMA and related engineering standards
• Effective communication and report writing skills
