We are seeking a skilled Schematic Designer and FPGA Developer to join our Optech team and contribute to the development of state‑of‑the‑art LiDAR systems.
Position Responsibilities- Design and Development: Create and develop high-speed digital and analog schematics using Altium.
- FPGA Development: Design, implement, and test FPGA logic designs using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms.
- Simulation and Testing: Perform simulations and signal analysis using MATLAB and Xilinx VITIS to validate designs. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of FPGA designs.
- System Integration: Integrate FPGA designs with System on Board (SOM) solutions, ensuring seamless hardware and software integration.
- Documentation: Generate detailed design documentation, including schematics, test plans, and user manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure cohesive system development.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in FPGA development and high‑speed design.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in schematic design and FPGA development, preferably with high‑speed applications.
- Proficiency in Altium for schematic design.
- Strong knowledge of FPGA development using Xilinx tools, including VITIS.
- Experience with MATLAB for simulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with System on Board (SOM) integration.
- Understanding of high-speed digital design principles.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
ASSETS- Experience with additional FPGA platforms (e.g., Intel/Altera).
- Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
- Familiarity with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
