Job OverviewReporting to the Operations Manager, the Product Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the development of structured product strategies and engineering roadmaps. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product management, and design , translating complex ideas into clear product architectures and actionable plans.
What you will be doing- Develop and maintain product maps outlining features, dependencies, and system architecture
- Translate business goals into structured engineering frameworks and plans
- Identify product gaps, overlaps, and improvement opportunities
- Convert product strategies into actionable roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables
- Balance short-term priorities with long-term product vision
- Track progress and adjust plans based on feedback and business needs
- Manage and maintain product documentation including installation manuals, guides, and pricing materials
- Ensure accuracy of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and product revisions
- Standardize and align product content across departments
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Procurement, R&D, and Production teams
- Facilitate planning sessions and align teams around product direction
- Act as a central resource for product-related information and solutions
- Lead product development initiatives from concept to launch
- Develop budgets, timelines, and resource plans
- Evaluate product performance, standards, and manufacturability (DFM)
- Manage custom product requests and special projects
- Review designs, specifications, and system architecture
- Ensure alignment with long-term product strategy
- Mentor and support a small team (1–3 direct reports)
- Drive performance, accountability, and professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- 5+ years in engineering, product management, or a related technical role
- 2+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works , or similar CAD tools
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
- Experience creating product maps and technical documentation
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
