The role focuses on EHS governance, systems, data, and culture, partnering closely with leadership and EHS Delivery teams while remaining independent from day‑to‑day operational execution.

  • Lead and support incident investigations, including serious incidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis, regulatory‑ready documentation, and sustainable learning
  • Provide expert guidance on environmental aspects and impacts, high‑hazard work controls, OHS maturity assessments, and pre‑job EHS reviews
  • Monitor EHS performance against targets, identify deviations, and propose corrective and preventive actions aligned with Target Zero
  • Serve as the EHS subject matter expert in health and safety committees, governance forums, and leadership reviews
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans in compliance with Canadian regulations
  • Oversee contractor and supplier compliance with Canadian EHS requirements, ensuring proper documentation, training, and audits

  • Recognized professional EHS qualification, such as Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Certification or equivalent internationally recognized certification
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well‑Being roles
  • Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of Canadian EHS legislation, risk management, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and occupational health and safety best practices
  • Experience working within global, cross‑functional teams
  • Experience operating in a dynamic, agile, and fast‑changing environment
