Join the Southern Ontario Utilities team at Black & McDonald as a Civil Estimator in Scarborough. This role emphasizes your skills in civil estimating for utility and renewable energy projects.
You'll prepare and manage estimates while collaborating with subcontractors and engineers throughout the tendering process. With a focus on civil works, you'll utilize your expertise in Bid2
Win software for accurate project costs from RFPs to final bid submissions. Your ability to manage tight schedules and deliver detailed estimates will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct quantity take-offs for various civil projects
• Develop estimates with Bid2
Win software for accuracy
• Create RFQ packages and oversee tender responses
• Evaluate supplier bids and maintain cost monitoring systems
• Participate in project meetings and coordination efforts
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience
• Expertise in Bid2
Win and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with renewable energy and utility projects
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
