Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)
- Support the Discipline Process Owner(s) to ensure that processes and procedures are implemented in a uniform manner, that tools are reliable, and that employees are trained to the required level of competence.
- Ensure the discipline is organized so that it can meet its quality commitments, providing problem‑solving support where necessary.
- Ensure proper implementation of procedures and policies to verify discipline‑specific processes and integrate them into bids, projects and products.
- Collect and consolidate any questions raised about the profession by Quality Assurance Managers and Customers, addressing these issues transversally.
- Ensure that the discipline transformation plan addresses key quality issues and effectively delivers the expected results.
- Identify trends and alerts relative to identified structural problems, such as application of procedures, maturity of the organization, correlation with other sources of information.
- Ensure that critical action plans are implemented in a timely manner, assess their efficiency, and issue an alert in the event of any discrepancy.
- Analyse root causes, ensure corrective measures are included in performance plans, and capitalize on feedback from the teams concerned.
- Ensure that the customer's concerns and expectations are understood and effectively managed.
- 10 years engineering/quality assurance in the railway industry or comparable experience in another industry.
- +5 years of experience in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, failure investigation, and reporting.
- +5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager (QAM).
- B.S. in Software/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Process improvement training or background (Six Sigma, DMAIC, …).
- Good working knowledge of: CENELEC standards, Quality Management Systems, Project Lifecycle and Deployment, Product Lifecycle, ISO
9001, ISO
27001.
- Six Sigma Black or Green Belt.
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO
9001 and ISO
27001. - Communication & training skills.
Total Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan): $104,840 – $134,623
