Position: Safety Specialist Hybrid)
Elevate safety standards with Hitachi Rail as a Safety Specialist in Toronto, Ontario. This hybrid role focuses on executing safety engineering activities in line with best practices and industry standards.

As a key player in the Safety Engineering department, you will work to ensure project safety across Urban Rail Signaling projects. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in a technical capacity related to train control or automation while also engaging in safety analyses and hazard management. Your efforts will contribute significantly to defining safety requirements and ensuring design compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute safety engineering activities per industry standards

• Conduct hazard identification and analysis studies

• Define and evaluate safety requirements for projects

• Review safety evidence and produce necessary documentation

• Collaborate with project teams to promote safety policies

Requirements:

•

B.Sc. in relevant fields such as Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in train control systems

• Strong grasp of systems and software engineering principles

• Proficient in safety standards and analysis methods

• Excellent technical and analytical communication skills
