In this role, you will provide technical analysis and guidance for the safety assessment of Canada's used nuclear fuel facility. Key responsibilities include managing projects with consultants and universities, developing performance assessments, and issuing contracting documents. You'll present findings to various stakeholders and engage in public outreach activities involving community input.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical advice on engineered barrier performance
• Oversee projects with consultants and research organizations
• Develop and review technical reports and presentations
• Monitor contractor performance against work plans
• Participate in public engagement and safety activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant science discipline
• Knowledge of repository safety assessment and regulatory criteria
• Experience in contract and project management
• Familiarity with safety analyses of nuclear facilities
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
This role requires integrating technical insights and engaging with diverse stakeholders to ensure nuclear safety compliance in Canada.
