Technical Manager in Hardware & Software

Position: Technical Manager in Hardware & Software Applications
Lead engineering applications for hardware and software with Kyndryl Canada in Toronto, ON. This hybrid 6-month contract role requires a strategic approach to optimize complex engineering toolsets.
As the Technical Manager, you will oversee a team of Engineering Application System Administrators while managing PLM systems, CAD platforms, and ALM/Dev Ops tools. Your expertise in ensuring performance and operational stability will be critical to maximizing tool uptime and security compliance across engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer hardware and software engineering application environments

• Manage application lifecycle activities, including configuration and updates

• Ensure stability of critical engineering platforms across teams

• Support and optimize software development and engineering platforms

• Manage vendor relationships and application licensing for engineering tools
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 6 years of supporting engineering workloads

• 2+ years of direct people management experience

• Expert in PLM systems, particularly PTC Windchill

• Familiar with Dev Ops and ALM platforms like Jira and Jenkins
Lead the optimization of engineering applications, enhancing performance and tool availability in the hardware and software engineering domains.
