Manager of Capital Project Execution

Join Toronto Hydro as the Manager of Capital Project Execution. This role combines strategic oversight of construction projects with technical expertise, working in a hybrid setting two days a week.

In this position, you'll lead a team, ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget while upholding safety and engineering standards. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, managing the complexities of electrical and civil infrastructure projects.

Your role is vital in achieving compliance with standards and best practices while fostering stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day execution of capital and maintenance projects

• Conduct technical reviews and support cost-effective work completion

• Participate in construction meetings to enforce compliance

• Monitor contractor performance and project delivery

• Manage budgets and initiate change requests as necessary

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering is preferred

• P. Eng or C.E.T designation strongly preferred

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in project leadership

• Valid class G driver’s license required

• Strong knowledge of contract management and safety legislation
