Wi-Fi Engineer
We are seeking a Wi-Fi Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and maintain wireless network infrastructure for enterprise‑scale customers.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, and deploy wireless networks based on site surveys, capacity planning, and performance requirements.
- Configure and optimize wireless network hardware (access points, controllers, etc.) for optimal performance and coverage.
- Diagnose Wi‑Fi network issues, including connectivity problems, interference, and security vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain wireless security protocols (WPA2/3, 802.1X) to protect network resources.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Work with other IT teams (network, security, application) to ensure seamless integration of Wi‑Fi with existing infrastructure.
- Work with vendors to evaluate and select Wi‑Fi networking hardware and software.
- Keep up‑to‑date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
- Plan for future network capacity needs and recommend upgrades or expansions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Wi‑Fi networks.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with wireless technologies and vendors (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper).
- Strong understanding of wireless networking protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Experience with wireless network security protocols (WPA2/3, 802.1X).
- Experience with wireless network management tools and techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWSP).
- Experience with specific wireless networking vendors (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus).
- Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on Wi‑Fi technologies.
