Mid-Level Building Code Consultant

LRI Engineering seeks a Mid-Level Building Code Consultant in downtown Toronto. If you are passionate about building codes and eager to grow, this role is for you.

In this dynamic consulting role, you will perform building code analysis, review documentation, and coordinate with clients for compliance. This mid-level position offers support from senior consultants while managing your projects, fostering technical growth in fire safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review designs and ensure compliance with building codes

• Conduct code analysis and propose design alternatives

• Manage projects from inception to completion

• Collaborate with clients and project teams effectively

• Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or architectural engineering

• 5-10 years in building and fire code consulting

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Knowledge of NBC, NFC, OBC, OFC codes

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
