Position: Field Electrical Inspector at SGS

As a pivotal member of SGS, you will conduct site inspections, verifying construction activity adherence to standards. This role requires over three years of experience in hydro network construction, combined with knowledge of Electrical Utility Safety Rules (EUSR) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). You will be responsible for tracking progress and maintaining reports while enforcing compliance in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough field inspections of electrical installations

• Review project documentation and IFC drawings before construction

• Enforce safety practices and verify compliance with regulations

• Maintain detailed daily logs and inspection reports

• Communicate project status updates and findings clearly
Requirements:

• Certified Engineering Technologist in Electrical Engineering

• 3+ years of relevant inspection experience

• Valid driver's license with travel availability

• Strong communication skills for effective reporting

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
