Urban Transportation Infrastructure Director

Take the helm at Aecon as the Infrastructure Maintenance Director, focusing on strategic maintenance for major rail systems in Toronto.

Your role will enhance both operational performance and system integrity.

As part of Aecon’s Urban Transportation Solutions team, you will have a pivotal role in leading the maintenance of complex light rail networks, comprising both surface and underground elements. With a minimum of 10 years in transit infrastructure maintenance, you will be responsible for lifecycle management and compliance with safety standards. Your leadership will extend to managing multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal maintenance performance and reliability metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct maintenance of light rail fixed facilities and tunnels

• Develop maintenance plans and oversee budget management

• Lead responses during service incidents and emergencies

• Supervise performance monitoring and cost control measures

• Enforce compliance with safety regulations and life safety codes

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in rail maintenance

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline

• Leadership in underground stations and civil structures

• Proven track record in safety compliance

• Must be local to Toronto or ready to relocate
