Our gyroscopic and magnetic directional survey systems are used worldwide to measure borehole trajectories with high accuracy, helping drilling teams and geologists improve drilling precision and operational efficiency.

We are currently looking for a Field Technician to support directional survey and core orientation services at mineral exploration drilling projects across Ontario.

This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in drilling, mining, or exploration operations who enjoy working in field environments and operating technical equipment.

Key Responsibilities


* No previous experience with our technology an operational procedures will be required, though experience in the mining field is highly valued. We will provide you with full training in our proprietary technology, operations and key responsibilities of the role, including:

  • Perform borehole directional survey operations at exploration drilling sites.
  • Assisting with the deployment and retrieval of downhole survey tools in drill holes.
  • Learning to collect basic borehole measurements.
  • Supporting directional survey operations (continuous and multi-shot surveys).
  • Assisting with core orientation procedures.
  • Uploading and organizing survey data.
  • Performing basic equipment checks and helping maintain field equipment.
  • Working closely with drilling crews, geologists, and field supervisors on site.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or relevant field experience in mining or drilling.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote field locations.
  • Ability to work rotation schedules at exploration drilling sites.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with diamond drilling operations.
  • Experience handling downhole tools or borehole instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with directional surveying or core orientation.
  • Experience working on exploration drilling projects.
