Lead Engineer in Search Infrastructure

In this pivotal role, you will guide the architecture of a self-contained search system that meets the diverse needs of Community, Enterprise, and Atlas. You'll define critical technical standards and work closely with leadership to ensure architectural integrity while integrating advanced AI capabilities. Your experience with distributed systems will enable you to make impactful decisions and mentor others in best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the cross-system infrastructure for Search capabilities

• Set the technical roadmap for Atlas Search development

• Architect and enhance the core mongot infrastructure

• Lead initiatives across teams, navigating complex challenges

• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on engineering processes

Requirements:

• 10+ years in data management or related fields

• Advanced programming skills, preferably in Java

• Background in operating large-scale distributed systems

• Ability in consistency and concurrency analysis

• Proven impact in defining technical direction at a high level
