As a Project Designer in Aecon Utilities, you will support the Hamilton LRT project by preparing and reviewing utility design drawings. This role demands eight years of design experience and a strong understanding of municipal standards. Your expertise in electrical and civil engineering drawings will be key to ensuring timely delivery and resolution of complex design issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete design drawings and quantity calculations for utility projects
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure drawing accuracy
• Consult on resolving design and field issues
• Manage project schedules and monitor deliverables
• Train Project Technicians on design fundamentals
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Minimum eight years of utility design experience
• At least three years using AutoCAD or Micro Station
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong awareness of CSA standards
