Municipal Water Engineer

Position: Municipal Water Engineer at GFT
Shape sustainable water solutions as a Municipal Water Engineer with GFT in Toronto, Mississauga, or Ottawa. This hybrid role offers the chance to innovate in water and wastewater management.

As part of GFT's dynamic water team, you will engage in designing essential municipal infrastructure, such as pumping stations and treatment facilities.

Your role includes securing approvals while managing project timelines and budgets effectively. You’ll also conduct quality assurance activities and mentor junior engineers, contributing to a collaborative work culture focused on technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design municipal water/wastewater treatment projects

• Coordinate input from municipal and utility agencies

• Liaise with clients for project approvals and processes

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing needs

• Ensure quality assurance on designs and perform inspections

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

• P.Eng. license with P.E.O.

• 4+ years of related experience in infrastructure projects

• Proven client-oriented approach in client interactions

• Experience with Ontario's environmental regulations preferred
